Radha gave birth to two gorgeous kits on 28 February 2004. Two of my friends were over and, as I was introducing them to the chinchillas, I opened the door to Krishna and Radha's cage and said, "And this is Radha..." I moved the pine house that she was hiding behind and exclaimed, "And two babies!"

Radha certainly does like to surprise me. I had no idea that the babies had been born. Hastin was born at 42 grams.








At one week, Hastin weighed in at 78 grams.




At two weeks, Hastin weighed 115 grams.

Now 15 weeks old, Hastin is growing so quickly!









The picture below was taken by Jeff in December 2004. After Charles came to stay with us over the Thanksgiving holiday, Jeff thought it would be best if Charles had a buddy, so Hastin went home with them. I can imagine these boys getting into a lot of trouble together!







Unfortunately, Jeff decided that he was no longer able to properly care for Charles and Hastin. Luckily, they have found a fantastic home with a very devoted mom, Stefanie, in AZ, and have been with her since July of 2005. I'm sure the boys couldn't be happier!
