Details: On 13 March 2003, Clyde became the first chinchilla to be part of ChinchillAZ.org, having been purchased for $129. Clyde likely came from a ranch in California, though his pedigree was never received. On 26 April 2003, Z came to be part of the ChinchillAZ.org family. He was originally bred by Sarah Newsom in Glendale, AZ, for $175. In May of 2003, Clyde and Z lived together until Clyde reached sexual maturity and became aggressive with Z. In December of the same year, Clyde was separated and put into breeding with Avra, a Black Velvet female. Z and Mabel were paired together in February of 2004. After producing four gorgeous litters, Z and Mabel were separated in October of 2007. Trey was bred by ChinchillAZ.org and was weaned on Halloween of 2007. At that time, he was housed with Z. In December of 2007, after producing six adorable litters, Clyde and Avra were separated and Clyde was reintroduced to the "Boys' Club." These three boys have been happily cohabitating together since!

Details: On 28 October 2003, Mabel came to be part of the ChinchillAZ.org family. She was originally bred by 1WYO Ranch, which was bought out by Susan Leonetti of AZ Chins in Sahuarita, AZ. Mabel was exchanged for a Dark Ebony female and, after quarantine, was paired with a Beige male named Sage. Unfortunately, Sage passed away after complications with pneumonia. Mabel was then paired with Z in February of 2004. After producing four gorgeous litters, Z and Mabel were separated in October of 2007. Mabel was still nursing her last kit until he was weaned in November of 2007. Delilah was bred by ChinchillAZ.org. When she was just over a year old, Delilah was paired with Kuma, a Dark Ebony male. After they had produced only one lovely litter of Dark Ebony triplets, Kuma suffered anal prolapse and was euthanized. Delilah's daughter was housed with her to keep her company. Kora was bred by ChinchillAZ.org and, when she was weaned in July, was housed with Delilah and her daughter. Delilah's daughter went to her forever home in September of 2007. In November of 2007, Delilah was taken to the CA State Claiming Show in Santa Nella. At that time, Mabel and Kora were put together and immediately adored each other. Mabel is actually Kora's sire's dam... AKA Kora's grandma! Delilah returned with a Third Place Ribbon and joined Mabel and Kora in a "Girls Only!" cage.
