Avra delivered her kits on the afternoon of 16 June 2004. Or, rather, I'm guessing that is when she gave birth. When I came home from work, she was busily nursing them. Charles was the larger of the two Black Velvets, weighing in at 49 grams at birth.



















  





  







Charles went to his new home with Jeff in Tucson on 02 October 2004.

The picture below was taken by Jeff in December 2004. After Charles came to stay with us over the Thanksgiving holiday, Jeff thought it would be best if Charles had a buddy, so Hastin went home with them. I can imagine these boys getting into a lot of trouble together!







Unfortunately, Jeff decided that he was no longer able to properly care for Charles and Hastin. Luckily, they have found a fantastic home with a very devoted mom, Stefanie, in AZ, and have been with her since July of 2005. I'm sure the boys couldn't be happier!
